COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Our neighbors are important to us. We regularly meet with members of the surrounding communities to understand how they are feeling about our operations. We work closely with community groups such as the Bighorn Corridor Environmental Committee (BCEC) and the Exshaw Community Liaison Committee to learn more about their interests and work together toward common goals.

Groups we are involved with:

  • Fugitive Dust Communications Group
  • Bighorn Corridor Environmental Committee (BCEC): active since 1985 and tackles a suite of environmental issues that affect the MD of Bighorn
  • Community Liaison Committee: a group of community members who meet to discuss community priorities and issues
  • Calgary Regional Airshed Zone (CRAZ): an organization comprised of municipal, provincial and federal governments, industries, non-government organizations and individuals whose mission is to monitor, analyze and provide information on air quality and develop strategies to manage air quality issues within the Calgary Regional Airshed Zone
  • Lac Des Arcs Community Association: group of community members who meet to discuss community priorities and issues
  • Exshaw Community Association: includes members who meet to discuss issues effecting their community
  • Bow Valley Clean Air Society (BVCAS): works to improve and protect the air quality in the Bow Valley and minimize regional contributions to climate change
